Cookie policy

In short

This site doesn’t use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. The few records kept in your browser are there only to make the site work and keep it secure, which is why we don’t show a cookie consent banner.

What cookies and local storage are

Cookies are small text files a site stores in your browser. Local storage works in a similar way, except that the data isn’t sent to the server with every request and stays in your browser. Both can contain personal data, so they are covered together on this page.

Which ones this site uses

WordPress session cookies are also used for site administrators who log in to the admin area. They are not set for visitors.

What we don’t use

No Google Analytics or any other visitor analytics tool.
No advertising, retargeting or tracking code such as the Meta Pixel.
The site loads no social media buttons, embedded videos or maps.
Fonts, images and code come from our own server; nothing is loaded from outside sources such as Google Fonts.

Why there’s no consent banner

Only non-essential cookies, such as those for analytics, advertising or tracking, need your consent. The records on this site are either essential for security or do something you asked for, keeping your setup plan from getting lost between pages. The EU ePrivacy rules and the UK’s PECR exempt this kind of storage from consent.

If we ever add an analytics or advertising tool, we will first add a banner asking for your consent and update this page.

How to delete them

In your browser’s privacy settings, find pirdir.com under “cookies” or “site data” and delete it. In most browsers you can also reach this site’s data by clicking the site icon in the address bar.

If you delete them, the setup plan you put together on the site is reset. Nothing else changes.
