E-invoicing software: issue the invoice once, and the rest takes care of itself.

E-invoicing software sends the invoices you create in your business software through an e-invoicing provider, over the Peppol network or a national platform, in the format your country requires. At Pirdir, an invoice created from a service job, order or quote is sent as an e-invoice or a PDF, depending on the buyer.

The path of an invoice

As you scroll, the invoice moves on to the next step.

The invoice is created

A draft invoice is prepared from a service job, an order or a quote.

It’s validated

Your provider checks it against the e-invoicing standard before it goes out.

It goes out the right way

If the buyer can receive e-invoices, it goes over Peppol; if not, it goes as a PDF.

Delivery and PDF

The delivery status is recorded, and the PDF goes to the customer.

What e-invoicing software does

Everything below comes ready. Field names, statuses and reports are adjusted to your business during setup.

Sending sales invoices

Chooses between an e-invoice and a PDF automatically.

Incoming invoices

Supplier invoices are received and posted as expenses.

Status tracking

Sent, delivered, rejected and cancelled statuses.

Electronic delivery notes

Electronic delivery notes at dispatch, if you want them.

Provider-independent

Works with providers and Peppol access points that offer an API.

Archive

Invoice PDF and XML files are kept with the record.

A Wednesday at a food wholesaler

Five moments at a wholesaler supplying coffee, milk and consumables to cafés and restaurants. Around 60 invoices a day, all from orders.

08:20

Incoming invoices are in by morning

Seven supplier invoices that reached the provider overnight are pulled in. The dairy's €2,140 invoice is posted as an expense and to the supplier's account.

The 23 orders shipped this morning are invoiced. The system checks each buyer: 15 can receive e-invoices over Peppol and 8 get a PDF by email.

A rejected invoice is put right

A hotel rejects an invoice made out to the wrong branch. The status lands on the record and Sofia sends a corrected invoice to the right branch the same day.

E-invoicing software: common questions

Ask anything not covered here on the call, and we’ll send the answer in writing too.

Which providers do you work with?

We aren’t tied to any provider. We can connect to most e-invoicing providers and Peppol access points with an open API, so you can keep the one you have.

Who signs the contract with the provider?

Your business signs the contract with the provider itself. Pirdir sets up the connection.

Are incoming invoices received too?

Yes. Supplier invoices are pulled in from the provider and posted as expenses and to the supplier’s account.

I’m not required to e-invoice yet. Is it still useful?

Yes. The same connection sends PDF invoices by email today and switches to Peppol or your national platform once your customers or your country require it. B2B e-invoicing is already mandatory or being phased in across Europe, for example in Belgium, Germany and France.

How is the price of an integration worked out?

Each integration is a module and appears as a separate line in the setup quote; extra modules start at €650. The scope of the connection the other program offers can change the work, so the final price is confirmed in writing after discovery. Prices are in euros and exclude VAT.
