Field service management software: one record from call to invoice.

Field service management software turns a fault report into a work order, assigns the job to the right technician, takes the parts used out of stock and closes the job with the customer’s signature. At Pirdir this module comes ready, and the form fields and workflow are set up around your company.

The path of a fault report

As you scroll down, the work order moves through the real steps in order.

The call is logged

A fault reported by phone, WhatsApp or the portal becomes a work order through the same form, and the appliance’s previous services open with the record.

A technician is assigned

Jobs are assigned by area, skills and the day’s workload. The technician sees the job on the phone with the address and the appliance history.

The customer is kept informed

When the technician sets off, the customer gets an estimated arrival time.

Parts come off stock on site

Parts used are added to the work order and come off the van stock or the warehouse stock.

Signature and invoice

The customer signs on the screen, the job sheet goes out as a PDF, and a draft invoice is ready.

Who is field service management software for?

It isn’t for everyone. We also spell out when it won’t fit, so nobody wastes time on a call.

A good fit

Service companies with two or more technicians in the field
Authorised service centres that must track warranty and paid work separately
Boiler, air-conditioning, appliance and lift companies that want to get job sheets off paper

You may not need it

A one-person tradesman doing a few jobs a day; a spreadsheet and a phone calendar will do
Businesses that only need bookings; appointment scheduling software is a better fit

Example setup: a service company with 6 technicians

These amounts come from our price list. You can change users and modules in the pricing section.

On the call we look at your current job sheet together. You get, in writing, which fields, statuses and connections will be set up.

Field service management software: common questions

Ask anything not covered here on the call, and we’ll send the answer in writing too.

Does field service software work on a phone?

Yes. The technician app is used on the phone, where the address, appliance history, parts, photos and customer signature are entered on site. If the signal drops, entries are stored on the phone and sent to the office once the connection is back.

How do spare parts come off stock?

When it’s set up with the inventory module, the technician adds the part to the work order and it comes off the warehouse or van stock. Parts that drop to the reorder level trigger an alert.

Are warranty jobs tracked separately?

Yes. Each appliance’s record holds its warranty end date; when a work order is opened it is marked as warranty or paid, and the two show up separately in reports.

At how many technicians do you need field service software?

The threshold usually comes with the second technician. For a tradesman working alone and doing a few jobs a day, a spreadsheet and a phone calendar do the job.

How is the price worked out?

It’s made up of a one-off setup fee and a monthly usage fee per user. Setup starts at €2,900 and includes the core and two modules; each extra module is €650. Usage is €24 per user per month, with a minimum of 5 users. Prices are in euros and exclude VAT; the final price is confirmed in writing after discovery.
